Areas of Practice
Katy was raised in Clarksville, Tennessee and is a graduate of Northeast High School. She attended college at the University of Tennessee, where she majored in Psychology. After graduation, Katy moved to West Tennessee to attend law school at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review, served as the Executive Director of the Student Bar Association and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Katy received the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award prior to graduating cum laude in 2003.
Katy began the practice of law with the Memphis law firm of Rosenblum & Reisman, PC, where she focused her practice on catastrophic injury and individual rights cases. In 2006, Katy decided to move home to Clarksville and joined the firm as a litigation associate. Her practice has been in Civil Litigation, with an emphasis in Governmental Liability, Education Law, Employment Law and Business Litigation. Her practice also includes representing individuals in personal injury claims and other matters. In January 2013, Katy became a Member of the firm.
Outside of the office, Katy is very involved in her community. She has served on the Executive Council of the Tennessee Bar Association Federal Practice Section. She is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Clarksville, past president of the Customs House Museum Guild, Chair of the 2012 Flying High Auction, and currently serves on the Acuff Circle of Excellence Board of Directors. Katy is also member of the National and Tennessee Councils of School Board Attorneys. Katy attends Madison Street United Methodist Church where she is involved in the children’s and outreach ministry teams and has played in the handbell choir. She and her husband, Aaron, have two beautiful children who keep them very busy.
