Surya Pavuluri is a native Tennessean who was raised in Dickson. He attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science and History. As an undergraduate, Surya was an intern for the Hon. Thomas Woodall in the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, a member of the Student Class Council, and a member of the executive board for Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Following graduation, Surya attended the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Surya completed internships with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of General Counsel and the Tennessee Department of Health Office of General Counsel and was a member of the Health Law Association, a Dean’s Ambassador, and an executive member of the Student Bar Association. Surya was also an active member of the Moot Court advocacy program and its executive board where he coordinated the intraschool competition and coached the 1st and 3rd place finishing teams in the Charleston National Moot Court Competition.
Surya has taken both the Tennessee Bar and the Universal Bar Examinations and can become licensed in all UBE states in the region.
Surya is a big sports fan that cheers on the Volunteers, Titans, Predators, and Grizzlies, and quietly roots for Georgia (unless they’re playing Tennessee of course). He enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
